PatrolEase Patrol Program

Your smart companion safeguarding your safety!

Project Duration: 8 months - ongoing
Role: UI/UX Designer
Responsibilities: Drafting specifications, designing UI/UX, and planning workflows

01 | Team Goals:

Tailored for Government Use: Secure Real-Time Interaction via WEB and APP

02 | Roles and Deliverable

Design web and app interfaces, including drafting specifications.

03 | Project Challenge:

Taiwan's current patrol system relies on scanning QR codes for verification, but issues such as damaged QR codes, lost paper records, inadequate lighting during night patrols, and inaccurate GPS positioning often affected the efficiency and accuracy of management. The government aims to enhance system security and reliability through digital transformation, achieving efficient and secure authentication, data transmission, and data storage.

Project Background

Information Security Threats: Dual Challenges for Government Agencies
Government agencies face threats in patrol management and data security due to outdated systems lack of real-time and safety. Digital transformation is essential to streamline patrols and enhance data security.

Project Objective

Achieve the efficiency and reliability of patrol system with a digitized, eco-friendly, and cost-effective management model.

Company and Project Background

Company Background:

We specialize in endpoint control for information security, with patented technologies to prevent data leakage. Our products integrate with major banks' apps and web platforms, delivering reliable end-to-end security solutions. We focus on innovation, catering to the information security needs of financial institutions and government agencies with tailored technical support.

Project Collaboration:

To meet government agency needs, we launched PatrolEase, an app focused on information security. It integrates seamlessly with a web platform, activating security protection when users log in for the first time. The app offers convenient patrol check-ins, audio, and video recording, enhancing efficiency and reducing patrol workload.

With real-time data-sharing, managers can monitor patrol activities, improving management efficiency and ensuring personal data protection.

Our Assumptions and Solutions

Web/APP Interface Planning:
Design user-centric Web and APP interfaces tailored for both patrol personnel and internal staff. The plan includes the following features:

  • Login with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Integrated with Company Products:

Implement MFA linked to company products, utilizing factors like geolocation and device verification to ensure a secure and reliable login process.

  • Online and Offline Check-In with Geolocation Tracking:

Develop an online check-in system that records patrol personnel's GPS coordinates, with offline functionality to ensure check-ins are possible without network connectivity. This allows managers to monitor patrol locations and attendance in real-time, enhancing tracking accuracy.

  • Voice and Video Recording Module:

Design a voice and video recording module enabling patrol personnel to quickly document on-site issues. Integrate API functionality for real-time uploads, allowing managers to assess the situation and respond promptly.

  • Data Log Access Feature:

Implement a log access feature for users to easily review historical data. Provide managers with clear patrol records to support management and issue tracking.
